the site password proctected. it is what is called a blackboard were teacher upload stuff for the students to download.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.to the site
2.right click save link as, file download in file second and when you open it it is 0 kb
3.when you open the file it says type Status report
message
description Access to the specified resource () has been forbidden.
and the download is considered a suscess
Actual Results:
the file that is downloaded is an empty file.0 kb
Expected Results:
the file should be downloaded. this actually happens OK if installed of saving the file i choose to just open the file with the select application. then the file is downloaded fine

somehow when try this in a fresh installed mozilla this does not happen and all is ok.
i think some extension might be the problem. tried disabling all of them and still not luck.No idea what caused it.
