Pretty sure this should be disallowed ... If you right-click on a livemark folder in the bookmarks toolbar, you can create new bookmarks, folders and separators within the feed, but shouldn't be able to. In the bookmarks sidebar, the context menu allows the same options when right-clicking a livemark container, but the new items are created adjacent to the livemark container instead of in it. In the Library sidebar, when right-clicking a livemark container, the context menu lets you create new bookmarks and folders but not new separators. These are added adjacent to the livemark container instead of in it.
The next time you reload the feed, the new items are no longer shown. Using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008042606 Minefield/3.0pre
Confirmed. The New Bookmark/Folder/Separator commands weren't displayed in context menus for live bookmark folders and live bookmark items prior to the 2008042106 Minefield/3.0pre build. Also, the Sort By Name command has returned to the live bookmark context menu, where it was hidden previously. Possibly a side effect of bug 412682?

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
