This is an enhancement request for newly created folders created anywhere in the interface to be appended to the recent folders list of the Star menu. Currently, it is only when you add a bookmark to a folder does a folder get added to the list (the last five, in order of last access). I am suggesting that if a user adds a new folder somewhere, there is a strong possibility that his next step will likely be to add a bookmark to it (that can be by way of dragging, or by adding the current page by way of the star menu). This is definitely the case for me. The current alternate procedure is to go up and choose add the bookmark first, and then create a new folder once there in the star menu, but this isn't any more of a logical or probable method than the user choosing to create a folder first, and then going up to add the bookmark to it next, in that order.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
