431050 - Gran Paradiso (beta 5) inappropriately switches to links in new tabs

I have firefox configured to prompt me for all cookies.  It is also configured to _not_ automatically switch to new tabs from links.  When I open a link in a new tab, one of the following things will happen:
1) If the page has no cookies to be managed, the page will load normally in the background
2) If the page _does_ have cookies to set, FF will switch to the new tab before asking me what to do with the cookies.  In FF2, I believe it asked but did not switch, which is the preferred behavior.

i experience this also and confirm that when the cookie popup for the new link appears, the focus changes to the new tab.  focus should not change to new tab, cookie request or not.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.
