Details

After I select an option from a "select" form element, the outline of the drop-
down box which contained the options is still visible.  The inside of the box is
rendered correctly to show whatever was there before selecting an item, but the
outline remains.
I discovered that iconifying and re-opening the browser window gets rid of the
erroneous textbox outline.  After doing that, the select element behaves
properly, not leaving the outline when a new selection is made.

Note you can't iconify the window before you use the select box to prevent the
dropdown outline from ever happening.  It will happen the first time you use it,
in any case.
