Crash Data
JS_strtod is a topcrash for thunderbird 2.0.0.12, all windows. Virtually non-existent on trunk.
With no trunk fixes in bz for stack JS_strtod, it's unclear why the lack of trunk crashes. Perhaps fixed by a JSish arch change? Or they are ALL Bug 334263 = thunderbird crashes every time I delete a message [@ JS_strtod] if [old] allchars installed = and on one uses old allchars on trunk?
Uknown, and might be worth sorting out the cause - will this crash ramp up when a1 ships? For now setting vers=2.0
common/typical comments in the crash reports
- all manner of handling attachments TB44325605, TB44333787, TB44355297 (OpenOffice-Document)

- able to reproduce if I use " print preview" of an email then close preview and select another email message tbird crashes TB44235728
- saved one email to a file and clicked on another to save it when Thunderbird crashed. I may have clicked on the next email to quickly before allowing the first email to be saved completely TB44191936

Severity: normal → critical
can we get lists of loaded modules (attachment) for each of the listed stack traces?

Oh, meant to mention, those are the modules from TB50355313 which happened with Thunderbird 2.0.0.17.

In another report, TB50354979, I see:
AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\57dom6p0.default\extensions\{31513E58-F253-47ad-86DB-D5F21E905429}\components\mintray-9178506d-2005072516-trunk.dll 0.0.1.0 07/25/2005 02:59AM 28,672 01d40000 28.0 KB

Zeallsoft\Super Screen Capture\zHook.dll 0.0.0.0 04/15/2006 01:07PM 159,744 02430000 196.0 KB
Everything else looks relatively normal and/or unrelated. Is "mintray" a common extension?
i didn't recognize Gadu-Gadu, but i'm willing to blame minitray since it seems common.

per mozdev's bugzilla, http://minimizetotray.mozdev.org/ has no substantial fixes since ~2005
ok, anyone want to grab minitray and check to see if it was built w/ the borland compiler known to cause this problem? (while you're at it, write up a nice page on one of the wikis explaining how to check ;-)
Oh hey, really old bug ;)
minimizetotray was built with MSVC. In this case, objdump says "6.00 linker version" so it was MSVC6. (I think this means helix400 built this particular binary, since he had access to that; I had 7.1)
Yeah, it's pretty much dead. Kinda gave up after realizing I'd need to keep poking things Gecko doesn't expose and refuses to (see bug 269323), plus trying to hook things that way kept on being hacky.

Since it's quite clear that this is not a Thunderbird issue - setting Invalid.
