User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 When entering the "heise.d" in the Location-Bar, then Firefox hangs. I know that "d" is a non existing TLD, but sometimes this happens as a simple typo. The leading "http://" can be ommitted and so i do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter "heise.d" in the Location-Bar (without http:// in front of it) 2. Press Enter 3. Firefox ist no more responding Actual Results: Firefox hangs. Quality Feedbak Agent doesn't popup. After Process-Kill: Firefox registers that the Previous Session crashed Expected Results: no hangs, of course
I could not reproduce this bug using Firefox 2.0.0.14, neither on other versions of Firefox.
Oliver, do you have any extensions? If so, which ones, and have you tried running in Safe Mode: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode?
