Created attachment 318593 [details] communications toolbox From bug 420236 comment 86: > file a spinoff ("Use communications-toolbox for personal > bookmark toolbar on Vista" or something similar) and cc me? Let's see > if we can figure out how to make that work in a future version. Attached are screenshots of what it would look like. The first two are what it would look like if the style was applied without any other changes (with and without the tab bar present). The next two are what it would look like if the toolbar dividers were restored (see bug 430482), and the final two are native Vista apps for comparison. n.b.: With bug 427045 landed, we won't have to hard-code any colors to do this. (My personal opinion is that this doesn't fit too well, but that, despite this, it nevertheless looks a bit better than the current appearance, which seems too flat and monotonous.)
Attachment #318593 - Flags: ui-review?(beltzner)
Comment on attachment 318593 [details] communications toolbox I tihnk it's interesting, but ultimately looks more out of place on Vista since few other apps actually take advantage of it, and it calls undue attention to chrome as opposed to keeping the focus on content. On its own, this change fails to get my ui-r, but I think we do need to keep investigating how to look and feel native on Vista.

So, the proposal is rejected and we can close this bug, right? Reopen if I'm missing something.
