Actually I was browsing the net and opened MSNBC.com website in a new tab. As soon as I opened it and tried to sign in, Firefox crashed. When it asked me to restore the session (when the next time I launched it) it again crashed. Even opening the site in the new window didn't help. i checked that website on Flock and it was working there. I rebooted and checked the website from Ubuntu, there it also crashed. But on Mac OS X Leo, it worked on 3b5

about:crashes

for windows if that's empty, you can use http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg

for ubuntu, if the build comes from ubuntu, then about:crashes almost certainly won't work, you should install all the -dbg packages for gecko (nspr, nss, xulrunner?, spidermonkey?, firefox, ...),
http://www.mozilla.org/unix/debugging-faq.html

./run-mozilla.sh -g -d gdb ./firefox-bin
