i have a second monitor connected to my laptop
if i open firefox it always opens on my laptop, but if i once drag the window on my second monitor, all new windows open on the second one! even after a restart, it won't change. i've found a possibility to fix it, but it will happen again if i drag my browser-window again on the second monitor.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.connect second monitor
2.drag main window on second monitor
Actual Results:
every new window of firefox will open on second monitor, even after a restart or after i drag the window back on the first monitor
Expected Results:
after i drag the window back on the first monitor, firefox should open all new windows on it, but it won't
Duplicate of bug 462743?
No, in this case it will happen with only one window which is always shown on the second monitor, even if i drag it back to the first one!

I can confirm this issue.
A little workaround is to drag the main window back to the first monitor and set the window size to normal state (not maximized). The firefox windows will than appear on the correct monitor after a restart.
It seems to be something wrong with the maximized window state?

I want to add to Frank's workaround, his solution will leave FF on the correct window, but in the normal not maximized state.
Once the window is dragged to the monitor where you want to FF to open from close FF
then open FF again and maximize and close FF from this point on FF will remember to maximize on that specific display.

Does this still happen with Firefox 3.6.6 or later in a fresh profile?
