After downloading the latest version of Firefox I can no longer navigate to the followiong address:  http://mail.google.com/mail/

Please provide more information. Can't you connect at all (similar bug 431796) or is it getting stuck when loading the page (bug 430021)?

Also, verify your firewall settings that Firefox is allowed to establish outgoing connections. Is this the only web site where you see the problem?
