Details
Two things need to happen: 1) get list of social networking sites with direct link to them 2) Add them per locale. Not sure how we'll create the groups beforehand without leaking info. I think we can create private groups in Facebook. We'll need the links a few days ahead of launch.
I will check with the folks that are owning each to have them confirm if they can be kept private. Thanks!

Even though we'll need the official links a few days before we launch the site, can we get the official list of sites this week? I can use dummy links, but we need to at least test.

Think we should get translated names of these social networks? Or should I just use the domain name as the link? Example: RU: http://www.odnoklassniki.ru/ = Go to odnoklassniki

Hi all: Update here: * Ulili has set up the Facebook one that can be used for US, English, French, Spanish & Italian. * She'll provide the URL now. EN: * Jane will provide the Bebo URL late on May 27th so the button should be left out until we get it from Jane. DE: * Jane will also provide studiVZ late on May 27th so Facebook should be the link included until that point. Thanks!

Hey there - sitting in the middle of our polish press tour and so sending these links a bit early to make sure you have them. Here are the links for StudiVZ : http://www.studivz.net/Groups/Overview/7b2bafa62b17dd96 One point: If you are not logged in to studiVZ and you follow the url you will not see the group but the login screen from studi it will *not* redirect you automatically after you logged in. Thus you need to open the url again - its not a big issue if you are a Studi user - most people will have a studi cookie on their machine and thus will see the group directly. I'm sorry - they are. I had to do the bulk of the creation as I'm smack in the middle of press meetings all day with Polish journalists and Schrep in Warsaw. (This was the only time I had to create). Firefox is not mentioned in the group name - I can add this very quickly to the group name when you are ready to go live (so folks shouldn't find it right now if you search for Mozilla in groups). Please let me know if you want me to repeal and I'll quit tonight's meeting to remove them. J
