431954 - Seamonkey memory-leaks when voting on icanhascheezburger, using chatzilla

I periodically check out icanhascheezburger.com, and without fail, it slows everything right down if I don't turn off javascript. It slows my chatzilla down to the point where it only displays one character every two seconds as I type. I'm not sure if that's related to the problem or just a consequence of it.

Typically, things go like this:

1. Visit http://icanhascheezburger.com in SeaMonkey 1.1.9 with javascript on and an IRC window open.
2. Vote on one of the pictures
3. Copy one of the links to the IRC window (I right-click the title of the ICHC post and select "copy link location") and paste them one at a time.
4. Do steps 2 and 3 a couple of times in no particular order.
5. It becomes completely impractical to type in chatzilla, and I can't get back to my browser window until the text I've typed is finished displaying. Checking the task manager, the Seamonkey.exe process goes up, and up, and up (about 2MB per second; this last time I killed it at 470MB)
6. I kill the Seamonkey.exe process in the Windows Task Manager.

If I turn off javascript in edit>preferences, I can view ICHC, but the voting/rating is no longer available. 

I searched for bugs with "icanhascheezburger" and there was only one, which was not a memory leak. There might be other bugs that describe this behaviour, but I would not know what to compare them with. (Maybe people are just embarrased of being compared to a 14-year-old because they visit ICHC? The whole reason I want  to have the voting is to vote up the old pop culture references that the kids don't get!)

I'm using the Venerable Modern theme, as well as a number of extensions, including:
*Slashdotter, Extension Manager/Uninstaller, Dictionary ToolTip, *Dupliate Tab, *Flashblock, Image Zoom, User Agent Switcher 0.6.10, and X-Ray 0.6 (asterisks designate those which I have used in recent memory)

This is epic fail on the part of ICHC admins, see comment 19 in bug 430573
