User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 My computer prints from the printer of another computer on my network. However, if I try printing in Firefox while the other computer is off, instead of an error message, Firefox crashes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Attempt to print on printer connected to another computer on the network when the other computer is off. 2. 3. Actual Results: Firefox crashed. Expected Results: Display an error message. The crash occurs while using the default theme.
This bug happens on Linux too. How to reproduce the bug on Ubuntu Linux: If I am connected to my home network where the network printer is configured on a server computer, I can select menu File / Print and all the printers come up. If I am disconnected from any network while I press menu File / Print all printers come up. If I am connected to my mobile broadband connection, Firefox hangs when I press menu File / Print and I have my network printers in the list of printers. And finally, if I am connected to my mobile broadband and before starting Firefox remove the network printers from the list of printers, the menu File / Print works and the pdf-printer comes up. The printing command works in Thunderbird.
patrik: please file your own bug. reporter: your problem is caused by your printer driver, please indicate the vendor name/version. it's almost certainly a duplicate.
