Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032620 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: 0.4 The scenario is we have a Google Apps account and is using Thunderbird/Lightning/GData Provider to sync calendars. We each have some shared corporate calendars to which we subscribe. Each employee runs Thunderbird in order to watch alarms, etc. Periodically, Thunderbird will re-prompt for credentials for the calendar at seemingly random intervals. What appears in the error console is: Login failed for xxxxxxxx@yyyyy.com HTTP Status 403 Login failed. Status: 1 After re-entering the credentials, things seem to continue normally. The credentials are stored in the Password Manager, and normally work just fine. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Still experiencing these issues with the latest nightlies? I haven't been able to reproduce this, the only similar thing I have is that once in a while my gmail accounts don't seem to accept my mail password when in thunderbird.

I've been trying the 2008-08-10 nightly build of lightning and gdata provider. I'm still experiencing the periodic prompting for authentication for the calendars after a period of leaving Thunderbird open and idle. However, the error message in console is gone. Instead, I see some "warning" level messages like this: Warning: There has been an error reading data for calendar: [calendarname removed]. However, this error is believed to be minor, so the program will attempt to continue. Error code: 0x80040111. Description: null Warning: There has been an error reading data for calendar: [calendarname removed]. However, this error is believed to be minor, so the program will attempt to continue. Error code: READ_FAILED. Description: The calendar that appears in these warnings is the first calendar Thunderbird prompts the user for authentication.

Strange...could you somehow find out if this error happens after a fixed amount of time? Maybe Google is timing out the login session which triggers the relogin. Also (sorry for saying this again...), please test the latest release or nightly.

I do not seem to be experiencing this problem anymore on Lightning 0.8 and Provider for Google Calendar 0.5 release versions.

Sorry, my mistake. I actually am not observing the problem on Lightning 0.9 and Provider for Google Calendar 0.5. My calendar refresh interval is set for 30 minutes.
