User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080416 Fedora/2.0.0.14-1.fc8 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080416 Fedora/2.0.0.14-1.fc8 Firefox/2.0.0.14 If firefox is started with manual proxy configured & the proxy requests authentication (popup window) then the app freezes & has to be killed. My proxies use ldap authentication. The freeze does not happen if the proxy is not reachable. Speculation: A race condition exists. Evidence: There is a small time window of approx 0.1sec (after the auth popup is drawn & auto-filled by password manager) that hitting enter key will complete the proxy authentication & will fix the problem. The Enter key has no effect if it is pressed outside this time window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.config browser for manual proxy that requires ldap authentication (must be reachable) 2.exit browser 3.start browser Actual Results: browser freezez Expected Results: popup auth window should respond to OK Cancel buttons
