This bug is a followup of bug 390740. The checkin for bug 390740 was done but according to comments 10 and 11 there is still some question as to whether it is fixed. We've closed the bug so it gets off the "patch has approval but bug isn't closed" list.

From Bug 390740 comment 1:
"Getting the right font metrics for a font depends on getting the right
lang-group; otherwise, we're likely to pick the wrong font, especially for CJK
languages.

The way I'm going about this is calling the helpers in nsLayoutUtils more
consistently; these helpers do the right thing."

Can someone confirm whether this is actually fixed.
