This example works on any browser on any platform but not on Mozilla on Linux:
<?php
echo $_POST['text1'];
?>
<form method=post>
<input type=text name=text1 value="value1">
<input type=submit>
</form>
<a href="" onclick="subit(); return false">Click Me</a>
Click on the submit and text1 contains value1
Click on the href and text1 is not set
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a script on a server (test.php or even test.asp on windows)
2. Open any browser on any platform and execute url//test.php
3. Click on both submit and Click Me and see both ways submits te data
4. Open Mozilla on Linux (any distro will do) and click on both submit and Click Me and see that the onclick does not transmit the data (even not set de var)
Actual Results:
What is says
Expected Results:
The submit() funcion in the javascrip should have transmit the data

submit is not a global function. You want form.submit(), where |form| corresponds to the <form> element (form is not a global object).
As described, this is INVALID. Can you attach a testcase to this bug?
The testcase is the provided simple script. As I understand you say the code provided is not right. But the script works on IE, Opera AND FIREFOX ON WINDOWS. Not on FIREFOX ON LINUX!!!
Type the url http://www.perfectmatchengine.com/test.php

Correct. Also make sure not to omit the "m" in "submit()".
> As described, this is INVALID. Can you attach a testcase to this bug?
I agree, this is INVALID. If you feel otherwise, please attach a testcase that uses valid HTML only, no server side code needed to test this.
