User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5 After I start downloading a file FF finds out that there's too little disk space left, it display a warning and the downloading hangs. It can be neither paused, nor resumed or even cancelled. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. IMHO the download should be paused automatically, so that once I free some space on the disk, I can resume it. I should also be able to cancel it. It's hard to say for sure, but I think that problems with the low disk space and a heavy use of the disk may have been caused FF to crash.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; cs-CZ; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121622 Fedora/3.0.5-1.fc10 Firefox/3.0.5 Confirming this bug. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make your file system almost full. 2. Start downloading file that is bigger than free space on disk. 3. Wait until error message is displayed. For me, this bug is always reproducible. I think that all downloads should be automatically paused after the free space at destination file system drops below some configured value.

Confirmed on Shiretoko. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-AR; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090323 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre Also, download manager window is messed up until you restart Firefox. I'm attaching a screenshot. All the downloads are finished, everything works ok, but the Download Manager window keeps saying "Starting..." on every download. The clean button has no effect.

I'd assume this is related to, if not a duplicate of, bug 518835. Confirmed on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Hello, is there any update for this bug?
Yesterday I submitted a more detailed bug report (575180) titled "Failed downloads cannot be paused, cancelled or deleted.", which has been marked as a duplicate this one. I have been noticing this reproduced on current and several past versions of Firefox. Strange - when I restart Firefox, the failed downloads which were stuck before the restart, resumed themselves to start downloading again without my knowing!! *** BE CAREFUL OF THIS
Confirmed on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b2) Gecko/20100720 Firefox/4.0b2 The additional problem mentioned by Marcelo Poli (all downloads that were started *after* the "out of disk space" event also being "frozen") seems to be fixed in Firefox/4.0b2, but is still present in 3.6.x.
I got the same bug on firefox 5 too. When firefox is restarted it starts download from scratch. It should nice if firefox handled it better. At least it should offer to resume from where it is left when some files are deleted and there is enough space on the device.

As of version 14.01, the bug unfortunately still exists - a large download, when encountering the lack of space on the target disk freezes after pressing "OK" on the message window without a possibility to resume, pause or cancel. After cleaning up space and restarting the program, it begins downloading from scratch. Quite frustrating.
