The new getting started pages does not allow more content than the current en-US text because it doesn't expand vertically.

The tabs are also not expanding to allow longer text.

As a result, localizers are starting to give up their link changes pointing to local services and use lower text rewording only to try to have their text displayed and not overflowing out of the box or simply cut out. The page is broken for almost all languages.

It is also probably broken with english speakers having slightly increased text size. This is wrong, we shouldn't lower the quality of localization and productization just because of inadequate CSS/jS.

There were some issues with the initial design of this page that didn't take into account the localization issues. I'm going to work on the tabs to make them expandable.

As for the height of the main box, this is tricky due to the animated transition between frames.

One possible short-cut would be to eliminate the bottom of the frame and leave extra room (see attached mockup).

As of r13106, we have flexible-width tabs, which is a start.
Thanks Steven. Let's go with the solution you proposed in comment #2...I think that will work just fine for all involved.
taller, open-bottom box implemented in r13160.

Pascal, can you let me know if these two changes work for the localization team?
I will test these changes for all locales tonight
It looks ok now, thanks
