433600 - Backup talkback database

We need to backup the Talkback database in preparation for doing some work to it. Right now, the DB is just under 500 GB (the work we're doing is to lower the size of the DB, among other things), so we'll need at least that much to do the backup. My goal is to complete all maintenance in the next two weeks.

The storage needs to be available to dingbat and we'll schedule a downtime to shutdown the DB and do a full transfer.

Do you expect this backup to be temporary or will you need that 500GB permanently?

Should be temporary. We'll need it for a week or two as we determine if the rest of the maintenance went well or if we need to move return to the backed up state.

Done, space mounted as /mnt/oraclebackup.  I have you guys 1 TB, just in case.  I will ping you guys in about two weeks to reclaim this space.
