433879 - Contacts sidebar panel in Mail Compose window not keyboard reachable

str:
1. Open SeaMonkey's Mail window.
2. Compose a new message.
3. Press F9 to show the sidebar.
4. Try to get to it via either pressing F6 repeatedly, by tabbing around the from:, to:, Subject: and body text fields.

Result: The sidebar is not included in the tab order anywhere.

Suggestion: In Thunderbird, one can shift-tab into the Contacts Sidebar by pressing Shift+Tab from the From: dropdown box.

Which product/version are you using ?
Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?
Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v2.0a1pre ?

Yes, this was done with 2.0a1pre, since that runs on Gecko 1.9 with the latest a11y stuff in it. Didn't bother trying 1.1.9.

I confirm that F6 or Shift+F6 (or Tab) never moves to the sidebar.
(I don't know if they should or not.)

I tested with the Address Book opened in sidebar:

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1pre) Gecko/2008061903 Thunderbird/3.0a2pre] (nightly) (W2Ksp4)

I confirm that Shift+Tab moves from the "From" box to "Add to Bcc:" sidebar button.

This is different but works:
Shift+Tab moves from the body textarea to the sidebar list of address.

Can you confirm that it works for you too (this way) ?

Then, maybe this bug should be an enhancement only:
to synchronize both applications behaviors,
maybe to even add/replace a new behavior ?
