Noticed while testing bug 434333 (with SeaMonkey v2):

At "Choose Install Location" step, I get
{{
Space required: 33.4MB
Space available: 33.4MB
}}

Then, during actual install, it fails with
{{
Error opening file for writing: ...\chrome\en-US.jar
}}

At that time, I have 1.85 MB still available (on NTFS partition),
and this jar is 2.16 MB :-/

(NB: I'm not saving anything else to that partition in the meantime.)
Flags: wanted1.9.0.x?
Don't think this is wanted for 1.9.0.x, but should probably get looked at.

I see you did this with SeaMonkey... does it do this for Firefox as well? If not, this should have been filed under SeaMonkey's installer component. The installer code is responsible for calculating the size required since we use an unorthodox method of packaging our installers to facilitate repackaging for l10n.
This will need to be fixed on a per app basis per comment #2 so moving over to SeaMonkey installer. If you can also reproduce this with Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. please file bugs for them individually.
