AVG Security Plug in that checks virus status of web pages does not install. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install AVG 8 or Real Player 11 2.Start Firefox 3 RC 1 3. Actual Results: Plug ins do not install Expected Results: Plug ins should install
Both plugins are developed by their own separate companies, not Mozilla. It is up to both AVG and RealPlayer to make their extensions compatible with Firefox 3. In the meantime though, you could try installing this extension: http://www.oxymoronical.com/web/firefox/nightly Which will allow you to enable extensions, even though they aren't compatible with your Firefox version (use at your own risk)
Closing as INVALID. If it says it's not compatible, then guess what, it's not. There's quite a few plugins not yet updated for Firefox 3, and if we haven't already added a tracking bug for them we probably don't need one now. It's up to the companies that make these add-ons to get up to speed. Oh, and overriding compatibility checking on these is a bad idea.

We're now tracking such bugs. This doesn't mean it's something we can fix, merely something we hope to be able to point vendors to so they can investigate. This is an automated message.
