Created attachment 321620 [details] mccoy4firefox extension zipped I put the attached extension in a clean profile extensions directory (actually I link it with a path name in the extensions directory). On start up FF crashes. http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/f045e685-25be-11dd-8336-001cc45a2ce4 Somehow I managed to get this extension registered. The extension does have a DLL however.
If I remove the contents of the directory "components" and delete compreg.dat, no crash. If I put only nsCommandLineHandler.js back into components and delete compreg.dat, crash. If I remove the contents of "components', delete compreg.dat, run, exit, add the contents back, rerun, no crash. So I don't think this has to do with the dll, but otherwise I can't help.
can you provide a windbg stack trace? the stack here isn't very friendly, my guess is obj was not rooted, but w/o a stack i can't guess who didn't root it... Is this still reproducable? Seems the breakpad crash report is gone.
Lets close this. By now I know how to use windbg so if I can make this happen again I can provide more info.
Ok, reopen if we can get some more details to go on.
