I'm using Thunderbird version 3.0a1 (2008050715)

In the addressbook, for an LDAP directory if you type a name in the search box you get results (so far so good). If you then delete a character, the results go away. In order to get results again (either for a new search or because you misspelled the name), you need to click on a different address book, and then back on your LDAP directory and start over.
This is working fine for me, I can enter "Dan" and then go back to "Da" and more results get displayed. The only issue I see would be something like bug 300892.

Brad, are you still seeing this with the latest nightly? If you are please could you attach a log of the searching, see http://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging for how to generate it.
Closing as incomplete as we got no further information from the reporter.

Reporter if you are still having issues in the latest Thunderbird beta (available from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/early_releases/), and produce the log as requested in comment 1, then feel free to reopen.
