RH6.2 Steps to reproduce: -start mozilla -open preferences -change fontsizes for fonts -click OK -quit mozilla -start mozilla again Result: Mozilla starts, but the whole browser area has the desktop background glued onto it - and it blinks reverse colors some times - till it crashes. -- [Switching to Thread 1815 (initial thread)] Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception. 0x40b6abe4 in NSGetModule () from /tmp/package/components/libraptorhtml.so (gdb)

any suggestions where this should go>
i just saw the "9696" bug (bug 43409) - this may be related. Will check what settings are actually stored in some 5 hours from now.

This may be the same problem as bug 43238, which is another recently introduced SIGFPE crash.
ran a diff on original and new prefs.js after changing font-size: new line appeared in addition to size settings: user_pref("browser.display.screen_resolution", 9696); Changing this to only 96 resolved the whole thing. No wonder it has aritmetic prob's setting a screen-resolution of 9696 - that's impossobly huge. Resolving this bug as a dup of bug 43409. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 43409 ***
