Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_2; fr-fr) AppleWebKit/525.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Safari/525.18 Build Identifier: firefox 3 RC french can't download from FTP files with characters with accents or special characters (é, à ô, ï, ç, ! ?…). Problem experienced while trying to download files from my FTP freebox (dsl box). The problem does not occur with current official firefox 2.0.014 French for Mac. On Mac platform, it's a big problem since Safari or Finder don't support download of such files either. So this must be fixed for macusers, otherwise they will stick to 2.0.014 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
test url?
You can set "network.standard-url.encode-utf8" to false in about:config to get Firefox 2 behaviour. The real fix non-ascii filenames would be bug 26767. This bug is probably a duplicate bug 297395.
