can't download from FTP files with characters with accents or special characters (é, à ô, ï, ç, ! ?…).
Problem experienced while trying to download files from my FTP freebox (dsl box).
The problem does not occur with current official firefox 2.0.014 French for Mac.
On Mac platform, it's a big problem since Safari or Finder don't support download of such files either. So this must be fixed for macusers, otherwise they will stick to 2.0.014
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

You can set "network.standard-url.encode-utf8" to false in about:config to
get Firefox 2 behaviour.
The real fix non-ascii filenames would be bug 26767.
This bug is probably a duplicate bug 297395.
