tools > add-ons > find update - finds updates for installed add-ons, but on clicking install updates the status indicator bar appears but doesn't fill & nothing downloads.
have tried updating each add-on individualy with same result.
also tried leaving it running for long period, same result.
it doesn't crash/hang, can close the add-ons box & click to continue past the msg to cancel the download (that isn't downloading) & use firefox as normal.
my add-ons are:
Ad-Block
Answers
ChinesePera-kun
Download Status Bar
FlashGot
Forecastfox
IE Tab
NoScripts
Tab Scope
Talkback
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open fire fox from the browser toolbar click tools > add-ons
2. from the ad-ons box that pops up click install updates
3. frpm same ad-ons box click install updates
Actual Results:
updates the status indicator bar appears but doesn't fill & nothing downloads.
Expected Results:
status indicator bar filling & installing the add-on updates that were found.
no themes or extra toolbars (like yahoo, google etc) are being used.

Which Antivirus software do you have installed? I have seen this issue with Avira Free AV Guard enabled.
Nod32 wich has been installed for a long time running just fine along side fire
just noticed step 2 of the Steps to Reproduce should say `find update` not `install update`

Type about:config into the address bar and then find the following settings and change them to true:
extensions.logging.enabled
javascript.options.showInConsole
Then open the error console from the tools menu, clear it and then do the update check and attempt to install. Let us know whether any errors appear and if so what they say.
The last FF update seems to have fixed the problem.
add-on / extention updates commence the downloading as they should.

What messages did you get?
Gives the following messages from clicking find updates but nothing from clicking install updates (from this point everything else in FF that attemps to access the web times out as if the add-on update is using all the bandwith).

If you are an Extension developer and were expecting there to be
updates, this could mean any number of things, since the RDF system
doesn't give up much in the way of information when the load fails.
Try checking that:
1. Your remote RDF file exists at the location.
2. Your RDF file is valid XML (starts with <?xml version="1.0?">
and loads in Firefox displaying pretty printed like other XML documents
3. Your server is sending the data in the correct MIME
type (text/xml)
etc etc then ends with

What messages appear after you attempt to install the update?

Doesn't give any messages when I click install updates.
Just hogs the bandwith not downloading till I close FF. Then the `cancel 1 download / don't exit` box pops up I cancel & retart FF without updating.
