TakingYourHeadOutOfYourAssReadEntireMailStupidFuck,

Yes, live in France - country of stupid frogs, I admit.

How about taking the default out that does not let me select my location in websites.

How about not trying to FORCE me to take upgrades in French.

I used to work for MS and the greatest thing about their tools is that they never force a language choice.

Your bitOshit browser does not give me the option, with MindMap for example, to download in English. Websites like mindmap only allow me to DL in the FreedomFagFrogLing since I live here - but wait - that's not all.

With your toy I have problems with google. they feed me **** in frog when I post a search in English. I type a .com and your bit-o-**** toy send me frog answers.

IE does not.

Your browsing toy is **** and I am torn between it, IE, and pounding nails in my head.

Here is the test to see if you actually read the entire question, but you probably will not answer because this will land on the desk of a **** frogtwat.

What can I do to NOT get the useless Frog language as a default?

PC was bought in US
OS is en-US
All Apps are in en-US

Yes, I happen to use a French ISP.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I live in france
Actual Results:
results on monitor are written in french

Expected Results:
English

IE works
I'll choose to ignore your extremely bad attitude from your initial comments, please be civil in future comments.

It looks like you definately have the english version of Firefox so chances are there is one of two things going on here. Either it is somehow configured to request content in French (check in options - content - choose your preferred language), or the most likely option I think is that the websites are simply detecting that you are coming from a French ISP and serving you content appropriately. Some websites will allow you to change that (google for instance has some preferences to can control) but otherwise it is something you would need to take up with the specific websites.
Summary: shit is in french → Websites show in french
Based on the used language this is just invalid but it's also invalid because i can not see a bug in Firefox.

Google is for example using your IP to detect the language, you can set it to english and google sets a cookie with your selected language.

Thanks Matthias, you have the same attitude as a Microsoft employee. Issue arrives that you can not resolve, must be someone else.

Did anyone look at the screenshots? Of course not, and this is why FF will never be a real application.

Since Matthias lives in Germany, he can probably duplicate the issue on his own PC.

Me, I am tired of tools that don't work like they should so I offered you a legit issue. Can't fix it - heck the US can't give us world peace so why should I expect you to even look at an issue.

Similar issue with outlook. I had (in the past, not in this case) a French keyboard. EVERYTHING was US, except the keyboard. Every issue of Outlook, including the most recent, was not able to make the subject line English because of the keyboard. I was an MS employee for 8 or 9 years and each new alpha release I called it out. Every beta I called it out. Every RTM I called it out and never had an answer.

Like here, I suppose. tech support no up to the task, so in this case close it because I was rude. I'll open the issue with a new email and a new IP and be polite, but the issue remains. 2 issues. First, FF has an issue that you should resolve. Second, you guys are lame.

Provide screenshots and we will look at them and try to figure out what is going on.
Provide actual steps to reproduce and we will try to reproduce. In other words for your circumstance, provide an url that exhibits this behavior that would normally display text in English for you.
If you want tech support the bug tracking system is not the correct place for it.
( see http://www.mozilla.org/support/ ).

Resolving -> Incomplete. If you provide steps to reproduce that are more serious than "1. I live in France" then please reopen and provide steps to reproduce.

I can duplicate this on google which gives me a german google Version and german search results on the top but that is not a bug in Firefox.
Google is using your used IP to get the country you are living but you can override that in the google options (which results in a cookie).
Other Websites are doing the same...
If a sites gives you content in a local language then the site have to offer you other languages, it's not Firefox fault at all.

Bugzilla is a bug tracking tool for the developers and it's not a support Forum for endusers.
Write a bug without such a fool language, clear technical terms, exact steps to reproduce and such a bug report may be accepted if they are valid. A bug about google in french would be of course still invalid.

Because of the used language (examples are : "country of stupid frogs","Your bitOshit browser", "shit in frog" and many other) such a bug report is just invalid.

You can duplicate this on google which gives you a german Version of google. Look at the screenshots from the same PC using IE7 IE8 and Safari, which do not give me a French version.

If a user can not change the preferences to get a language of choice then that means a tri-lingual person like me that goes to Germany would not be able to use Google with FF because I don't speak enough languages?

See, I don't agree with that logic.

My choice of "fool language" does not make the issue issue invalid. In the US we say that profanity is the literary crutch of the inarticulate, suppose that defines me. Inarticulate. Rude. Spiteful.

FF still is the only browser with the issue and Matthias, you had the kindness to test in a German version to verify that there is a bug.

thanks

it does make this bug invalid if you use fool language and the google one is also invalid.
I don't test with the german Firfefox version, where did I told that ?
I use the english Firefox Version and get a german google and this is a google feature which you can set. They either use the http accept language which you can set in the Firefox preferences and/or they use the used IP.

This is also invalid because this is NO BUG in Firefox.
Please use the newxsgroups or support Forums if you have enduser problems

Do we know why the reporter experiences this issue in Firefox and not in IE or Safari?
I get the same issue with IE (for google) but maybe he switched already to english or used the browsers on google from an .uk or .usa IP before ?
