We'd like a copy of this cloned for use on CVS trunk. We can rename it to qm-centos5-04 and install it on the QA network.

We're in RC2 mode, and qm-centos5-01 is a tier 1 unit test machine. Can we please not take it down while we're landing patches for RC2? Sure, there's another one, but it's very unstable and goes orange a lot, while this one is pretty stable.

Also, this box has been cloned numerous times (bug 425791, for example). Do we not already have an image that you can use?

Seconded with reed - please avoid any server maintenance between now and when we're done with RC2 builds.

That's a good point. I'd settle for another recent clone of this machine en lieu of a cold copy if we have one on disk somewhere.

qm-centos5-02 is *not* stable, and should not be used as basis for clone.

qm-centos5-01 and qm-centos5-03 are equally stable, so using either of these would be fine, and would not require closing the tree. 

Just talked with Beltzner. We should hold off doing any of this until after Dev gives formal "go" to build... currently estimated for midnight tonight, see rel-drivers for details. We do not need to wait until we are done with rc2 builds Friday evening.

Indeed, I actually meant "until we're done baking the code for RC2" builds. So, like, not today, but tomorrow's cool. :)
