Package Microsoft core fonts installed

Printouts of web pages with Firefox 3 beta 5 show very irregular font spacing. 
e.g. printout of web page www.kath.net/detail.php?id=19938
Occurs also with other web pages.

Printer: HP LaserJet 2100 on parallel port dev/lp0
Printer driver: Turboprint 1.96-4

Does not occur when same page is printed out with Opera 9.27 on same system.


Reproducible: Always

Font spacing should be regular like with Opera 9.27


I can provide scanned JPG pictures of the pintous for reference.

I think it's just the way both engines (Mozilla's and Opera's) render text differently.  Try Print-Previewing the same page in IE and see if it comes out differently.

Problem does not appear with Firefox 2.0.0.14 on same system. If it is because of the text rendering of Firefox 3 beta 5, zhe text rendering IMHO is not good.

Issue does not appear with current Version of Firefox.
