I happened to be playing a Flash game yesterday and to save on system resources, I closed the tab for the night before heading for bed. The next day I opened it just fine with CTRL+SHIFT+T and played for a little while, then closed it again to get on with some other things. Later on, when I headed for that closed-then-reopened-with-CTRL+SHIFT+T tab in Today's History items, it wasn't there.
This makes sense from a functional perspective; I didn't explicitly browse/go to that site today, I went there yesterday. I just happened to reopen the tab today.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a tab to any valid site, spend any arbitrary amount of time with the tab open, then close it.
2. Cause the date to change, whether by resetting the clock so it hits 12AM in 1 minute, staying up all night, or waiting until tomorrow.
3. Open the tab you closed using CTRL+SHIFT+T or the first item in the History -> Recently Closed Tabs menu [I did not test whether the bug exists with this last method of reopening the last closed tab.]
Actual Results:
The tab I closed will be visible in History amongst the 8724569847523 other pages I visited Yesterday, but won't be visible under Today's History items.
Expected Results:
Since I did technically send a hit to the site and request information a 2nd time, this event should be logged as a History event and be stored under Today's items as such.
