Build Identifier: version 3.0a2pre (2008052904)

When passwords are not saved, accessing multiple mail accounts in Thunderbird at the same time causes multiple login dialogs to be displayed, causing visual clutter on the screen. Furthermore, as each new dialog is presented, it steals input focus from the last, which is annoying when one is in the process of entering the password for the previously displayed dialog.

In addition, the size of each successive dialog appears to grow several pixel in size, creating visual inconsistency.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get all mail for a profile with password saving disabled, with multiple mail accounts.
2. Wait for dialogs to spawn.
3. Witness the visual cacophony!

Expected Results:
First dialog should retain input focus. Dialogs should be consistent in size.

As an alternative, presenting a unified global login dialog with the option to enable/disable individual accounts could be an alternative strategy.
The serialization piece of this is already covered by bug 338549.
zed, have you looked for dupe. If you still see this problem, recommend you confirm and mark depending on above bug. If not, of course close bug.
I think bug 338549 will fix this to the degree the OP wants it.
