User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.14 (20080421) I have a Verizon cell phone and ComCast internet. For 2 years or better I have been sending photos from my phone directly to my email with no problems. Two weeks ago, my email is not receiving them (maybe 1 in 6) My cell phone is an 'allowed' address and nothing is in my junk mail. My cell phone believes the photos to be sent, but they are not being received here. Text messages are working fine to here and the photos are not having a problem being received at other mail recipients (computers or otherwise) JUST here. I don't get it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.keep sending 2.and sending 3. ad nauseaum Expected Results: receive the foolish photos as I don't own a camera! see above
I am NOT computer literate.. keeping this in mind, please be gentle with the lingo Thanks.
Here is mozilla.bugzilla.org, for developers, for people tries to help developers. Not support forum nor Help Center. I recommend you to ask for help at forum such as MozillaZin forum. > http://www.mozillazine.org/ > http://forums.mozillazine.org/ I recommend "Thunderbird General" after getting forum account, although "Thunderbird Support" is usable as anonymous account.
I was told to ask here, as it's a Thunderbird issue.

Perhaps ComCast runs some anti-spam filtering which is wrongfully thinks it's spam and never lets the messages through to your account? If you also have webmail access to the account, do the messages show there? I don't know why you think it's a thunderbird issue, as so far there is no real reason to suspect thunderbird was ever handed the message in the first place.
thank you so much for your response. I am only guessing at this point that it is the update that Thunderbird/Firefox did not long ago as once again, it had been working fine for years. I have checked the Comcast webmail.. 'junk' was empty and all the 'spam' filters were shut off. (I always trusted Thunderbird for that and didn't need the filter from Comcast) If it further helps to ascertain, my computer absolutely REFUSED to update to the 2.0.14 and EVERY morning was saying that 'there were important security updates' (I think I was on the 2.0 version) my computer literate friend helped to get the new version to download, but once again now I am not getting photos from my cell phone (which says that they're sent) Process of elimination and total guesswork here.. something in the Firefox/Thunderbird 'security update' isn't allowing photos from MY cell. Thank you again for all your help, I really appreciate it!
I's suggest doing some more testing for elimination. - send yourself a photo from your phone, check the web mail (too) - if it' doesn't get through there either, thunderbird can't be involved - send yourself a photo to another address (on some other domain) - if it works, sending works to some domains - if you know someone with a comcast email address, try to see if it gets through to them ... and so on, to see if the problem is on your server, in the communication between servers, or what.
Since there hasn't been a response from the reporter for more than a year, resolving as incomplete (especially if a server issue is likely the cause). Please feel free to reopen this if you have further information to add. -> INCO
