User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Safari/525.20 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.14 Sometimes and seemingly randomly, some pages (tested mainly on Yahoo! Groups) all keyboard input ceases to work. This means any INPUT field in the HTML, but also any of the other input fields in Firefox (the address bar and search bar). In fact, it's so bad that I've had to report this bug through Safari because Firefox has just stopped taking text input. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Go to Yahoo Groups to approve pending messages 3. Try to type in any input field Actual Results: Input fields fail to take any keyboard input Expected Results: Input fields should work. I am using some Firefox extensions. Could any of these be responsible?
I too have this problem with keyboard input. A very easy way to reproduce it is to use Facebook chat. When I try to chat in Facebook, keyboard input ALWAYS stops responding the moment I receive a message. The workaround (and a quite annoying one at that) is to click on the Windows taskbar then back on the chat text input box. I also had this problem intermittently on http://imo.im, workaround is the same. Click anything that's not Firefox then click again on text input box. I am running Windows 7 but I have had this problem since XP SP2 in 2007.
Me too. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; pt-BR; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Windows 2000 SP4 pt-BR Intel P4 I was using GMail and opened a new tab in the following address: http://charges.uol.com.br/comentarios.php?PgAtual=1 Then, I wasn't able to type anymore in GMail. Logging out and back in GMail brought the keyboard back to life.
Forgot to mention: it happens not often.
