User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008050509 Firefox/3.0b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008050509 Firefox/3.0b5 If I click on the image on the right depicting a large dark grey bulb titled "Glass bulb mercury arc rectifier from the 1940s" I am taken to the image page. The GNU license text at the bottom is not being rendered correctly. Browsing back to the previous page occasionally results in a lack of refresh (still shows some or all of the previous page). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Browse to Mercury arc valve entry at Wikipedia 2. Click on picture titled "Glass bulb mercury arc rectifier from the 1940s" 3. View the GNU license text at the bottom then browse back and note any refresh problems. Actual Results: Badly rendered text, unreliable refresh. Expected Results: Normal browsing. Doesn't occur with 2.0.0.12 on Windows XP SP2.
Attached image Screenshot of problem
The desktop size is 1280x1024.
Doesn't occur on XP with: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0
This may be another manifestation of bug #411831. The system exhibiting the problem is using a Nvidia GeForce 6100 (integrated) with driver version 169.12+2.6 and another system using an Intel 845 with the intel driver doesn't exhibit the issue.
Confirmed on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 Ubuntu 8.04. Nvidia driver version: 169.12 Funnily enough I could not reproduce it on the page shown in the report, but I discovered it on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dynamo_-_commutating_plane_field_distortion.svg and most of my other image pages. This happens with compiz-fusion on or off. But it is worse with compiz-fusion off... sometimes a window will "stick" to the firefox viewport and scroll up and down with the page. I will attach a screenshot showing what happens when I switch from this tab (bugzilla) to the problem page, then scroll down a bit, then take a screenshot (which puts a window over firefox) then scroll up a bit. You can see parts of this page remaining and the screenshot window.
I'm seeing the problem on both your page and my original page, and also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Isle_Royale_aerial.jpg My current browser is: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 The bug does not occur with: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080325 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.13 All of my systems are using Nvidia cards and drivers of various generations. Another pattern exists however - the problem is only evident on 64-bit systems.
