When Firefox crashes, it is expected to restore all previously opened windows and their tabs. Although this happens in version 2, this is not what usually happens with Firefox 3 RC 1. Most often 3.0 RC1 restores only one window tabs.

Usually the reason of these Firefox 3 RC1 crashes in Vista **SP1** are unknown and without mozilla report window opening, usually Vista claims its for Data Execution Protection.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have more than at least 2 firefox windows opened each with few tabs
2. crash Firefox
3. open Firefox
Actual Results:  
Restores only one window and its tabs

Expected Results:  
Restore all Windows and their tabs

Mahmoud: Are you still seeing these DEP related crashes?

If so, could they be plugin related (cf. bug 427382) or extension related? Start Firefox in Safe Mode and see if you still experience these crashes. If not, start Firefox normally and disable your plugins/extensions one-by-one until Firefox no longer crashes...

Alternatively, you could have been observing bug 440969 resp. bug 431060: Were there any specific web pages involved in causing those crashes?

Please reopen should you have more information as to whether this is DEP related or not.
