Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051202 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051202 Firefox/3.0

I have a folder in the top left of my desktop. If I drag an image out of a webpage into that folder, when I release the mouse button, the folder is moved to the bottom left of the screen. Additional images dragged to the folder in its new position does not cause it to move again. "Snap to grid" is enabled, but it happens when that is turned off.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a folder in the top-left quadrant of the screen. Center the browser window so the folder is visible.
2. Browse to a site with an image on it.
3. Click and hold, then drag the image to the folder and release the mouse button. (Holding over the folder too long will cause the folder to open, this is standard OS behavior.)
Actual Results:
Folder icon is moved to bottom-left quadrant of the screen.

Expected Results:
Folder to remain in place.

Dragging an additional image to the folder after it has been moved to its new location does not cause it to move again. Moving the folder even slightly from its new location and dragging an image in will cause it to be moved to that special location again.
Reproduced with nightly on 10.5 Intel. The folder would jump no matter what corner of the screen it was placed in so I think it's something with the finder.
Problem persists in FF 3.0RC2. It DOES NOT occur in FF 2.5
This partially dupes 440931, which also notes that this happens when dragging a file to the desktop (not to a folder on the desktop).
