Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051202 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051202 Firefox/3.0

Using firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 on Ubuntu 8.04 all add-ons will not install correctly and dependant on the add-on will cause a different error to appear.

Most of the time I get:

Error: oldLocation is null
Source File: file:///home/doug/firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js
Line: 7867

But sometimes it's installLocation reported as null on line 7971. No consistency between them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install add-on
2. Restart Firefox
3. Load error console
Actual Results:
Error: oldLocation is null
Source File: file:///home/doug/firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js
Line: 7867

or similar error with no add-ons loaded

Expected Results:
Add-ons should load and no error should be reported.

Have tried using several different Ubuntu themes (including Human) and all reproduce this error.

Using the standard package install location.
