From http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/tables.html#h-11.2.4.2: "The COL element allows authors to group together attribute specifications for table columns." This works in build ID 2000062408 (Win and linux) for the width attribute, but not for the style attribute. The attachment has the Strict DTD specified and is correct according to http://validator.w3.org/. Confirming.

Reassigned to attinasi. I think it can be marked dup of bug 915. Why did we change the summary line of bug 915 from "column style resolution not yet implemented" to "column style resolution for text-align not yet implemented"?

Yes this is a dup of 915. I don't know why Ian changed the summary of 915... Thanks, Pierre. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 915 ***
