When typing in the address bar as a page loads, the cursor will jump to an input field on the webpage. 

For example: 
Halfway through typing "wikipedia.org" in the address bar, "edia.org" ends up in the login input field of gmail.com 

While you are typing in the navigation toolbar, cursor focus should not be able to switch out of the address bar. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to a website that takes cursor focus.
2. start typing in a new address in the address bar as it loads.

Actual Results:  
Be annoyed as your typing moves from the address bar to a field you had no intention of writing in.

Expected Results:  
Continue writing in the address bar.

This bug is extremely annoying.

Something similar happens to me:

Whenever I open a new firefox window and click on the address bar to change the url, the cursor jumps out of the address bar leaving me typing for nothing. Once the default page is loaded into the new window, I have to click into the address bar again to change the url. This is a recent problem since the last upgrade. I've never experienced it in previous versions.

This bug still exists in firefox 3.6.4 and annoys me on a daily basis.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.10 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
