43785 - Several text box problems

1. Text does not appear until you give at least two chars input in text boxes.
(If you only press one char in a selected text box, then nothing will appear.)

2. The cursor is sometimes not cleared at the old place it was located when
selecting a different text box. For an example, now the cursor is blinking in
this text box, but one is still visible in the ''Summary''-box (but it's not
blinking).

if i key in one character in this main textfield, the scrollbar on the box
suddenly appears, but not the character i typed.
When i type another character, the first character also displays. If i delete
the characters, the scrollbar goes away again.

I can't make the cursor be "several places at once" however (but it flickers
like mad: that's another bug i've been told, but can't find it?)

Linux 2000-062321. Confirming.

there are two bugs in this one - i believe the second (several cursors) is
already reported.
The first one, about first character not showing up till the second is typed,
turns out to be a dup of bug 43115 - reopening that.
