Clicking a link to another domain opens a new Firefox window of the already running profile, no page is being loaded. (Tested with Google Reader as web app.)

The Refractor for Prism extension blocks the access to Firefox for all external applications, clicking a link i.e. Thunderbird also opens only a new empty window. Disabling the extension solves the problem.

The command line handler was causing the problem.
