If I open more than 15 windows showing articels of the heise newsticker
at www.heise.de/newsticker this will almost ever crash mozilla/netscape.
I don't have this problem with other pages. There has to be something on
that page which makes mozilla realy unstable.
I think I submitted this bug via talkback more than 50 times.

vrfy wfm in 62608 win98 with 128 mb of ram, pII 450 mHz.
I don't see why a crash after 15 windows is something to complain about...there
comes a time when Mozilla/the OS simply can't handle any more windows being
opened. I'd say 15 is a damn high enough number...
It sometimes even crashes after only 5 windows!
And 15 windows is no high number. I often browse with
15-30 windows.
Oh, yes I know 4 people who can confirm this bug. They
are all complaining about it. So IT is a BUG and ist is
there!

I'm glad that you often browser with 15-30 windows. Most people do not. Where
does it stop? How many instances are we expected to allow for before
performance drops to a minimum and we crash?
You need to try this on a brand new M17 nightly build. The fact that it
happens on NSPR1 is useless, and the fact that it happens in NS 4.73 is
probably an indication that there's nothing really wrong with the codebase
except for the typical performance problems you'd expect to encounter when you
open fifteen instances of an application.
Please try again on a new nightly and let us know what happens.

smalles like a memory issue. what sort of crash message do you get?
I testet ist again with a nightly build (2000062608)
and was unable to reproduce the crash.
It seems to be fixed (I hope)

This is a duplicate of Bug # 29655
For me Build 061820 still crashes on Win95 and 98. NS 4.72 also crashes on
these pages but IE 5.0 and 4.0 do not.
Is this really a lack of memory? 64 MB should be enough for Win95 and Mozilla
(no background programs)?! Right now at the moment Mozilla, NS 4.72, IE 5.0 and
some other programs are running simultaneusly since hours without any problem
or restart. And I am browsing and testing a lot. But if I open
http://www.heise.de/ it is just a question of minutes until Mozilla crashes
in GKGFXWIN.DLL

61820 is too old a build to test. Please try a new nightly.
