43875 - need a sample Mac plugin (4.x and 6.x dual)

At MacHack 2000, one user was having problems creating a plugin.  Their request 
was for a sample plugin.  This should be pretty simple to do (by gutting the MRJ 
plugin) and is critical for our plugin developers.

Updating Summary to specify "Mac" as Intel has provided a sample plug-in for 
Linux (SANE) and mccabe is providing a sample plug-in for Win32 (see bug 39933 
and bug 39936). Marking helpwanted; would love it if a mozilla community 
Mac plug-in expert would take this on.

FYI: The Linux SANE plugin is not dual 4.x / 6.x.

The MRJ plugin is the best sample code I can imagine. Developers are free to 
contact me if they have questions.

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.

I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

This applies to all Macintosh OS.  I'll leave it to patrick beard whether he
wants to resolve this bug as fixed ("MRJ plugin is example") or leave it open /
futured for a different sample plugin.
