When I drag a file from a Finder window onto an existing page or onto the tab bar, the last closed tab appears instead of the file I wanted to open.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Firefox RC3 and navigate around for a bit.
2. Find an image or html file on your local filesystem and drag it into Firefox. Try both dragging it onto an open page, and also dragging it onto an empty area on the tab bar
Actual Results:
The last closed tab's page appears where the dragged file should be
Expected Results:
It should have opened the file I dragged onto it.

I can confirm this, but there's some strange set of conditions that results in this behaviour, it doesn't happen all the time.
- maybe you need to have to have re-opened a bunch of closed tabs?
- perhaps you need to have loaded something like about:config in a tab and re-opened that one, or some other way of messing around
A regression range would be supremely helpful.

I can confirm this. Also not sure what the circumstances that cause it are.
It isn't always the last closed tab, though. I just opened Google News in a new tab, opened an empty tab, closed the tab containing Google News, and dragged a file to the empty tag. The page that came up was a page I had visited earlier, but it wasn't Google News.

Works for me on macOS 10.12, FF 50.0.2. Closing as this is an ancient one. Do set back to NEW, if you still see this.
