These occur only on the staging server, not my local development copy, nor the production server.

-When watching an article, you have to reload for "monitor this page for changes" to change to "stop monitoring this page for changes"
-Pressing "watch this thread" sometimes doesn't update the UI to "stop watching this thread" 
-When posting a new thread, you sometimes get told that "Another post with the same title and content already exists. Please change your title or content then click Post.". Your post seems to go through though.

But the watching an article problem is there - although it actually does turn on the watch, since it is listed under "Articles I monitor for changes".

However for me, the watch problem happens on production too, but sporadically and not as consistently as in staging.

These all appear to be replication lag related that justify the use of forceMaster().

Fix is r17352 (trunk) --- waiting for review before commit to production. This will cause some selects to occur on the master db when:

1) user changes watch/monitor status
2) new forum post is submitted
