We'd like to update the feed url to http://gaelport.com/rss.php, see bug 419273.

Sadly, they're showing an xml parsing error right now, and come up empty in our feed view, at least.

See http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fgaelport.com%2Frss.php.

The culprit seems to be the use of html entities in XML.

Can someone reach out and evang for that getting fixed?
I can try - I have a line of communication open already with the organization and the technical people that run the site.

Just so I'm clear - is the issue the " " that appears to have been chopped off before it was closed with a semicolon? There are other entities in other parts of the feed that the validator seems OK with. So my guess is that what they need to do is not truncate the excerpt from the story in the middle of an entity?
is an entity defined in html only. They could just use   instead, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_XML_and_HTML_character_entity_references.
Just got a response to the email I sent to Karl Chadwick - he works for gravitate.ie and helps run the Gaelport site. Karl reports that he fixed the problem and indeed the validator is running cleanly now.
FIXED in bug 440802.
