Steps to Reproduce:
1.gmake -f client.mk build.
2.after compiling few files the build process halts at this error.

compilation failing

Which product/version are you using ?

"1.8b(1)" is not supported anymore.

  Thanks a lot for the information.
can you please answer my following queries 

1)please suggest the active version of mozilla supported by mozilla group?

2)Are there any third party developers who support for mozilla-1.8b(1) ?

3)if mozilla is no longer supported, is it that we have to move to Firefox? Actually we were looking for a open source browser for our project, can you please suggest one ?

4)how exactly is the FireFox different from mozilla ?

Venkat: Do you already know SeaMonkey? It's more or less the successor of Mozilla. The SeaMonkey project is run by a few volunteers. You can also go to http://www.mozilla.org/start with Mozilla (or IE ;), then it will tell you more about that change.
I don't think there is any third party supporting a beta version of Mozilla 1.8 (note that Mozilla 1.8 never was released, it was replaced by SeaMonkey before that).
